Nails In Combat: Let the battle commence!

Have you checked out Sparkly Nails website recently? We have just launched Nails in Combat, which is a challenge the team have been getting involved in at Sparkly HQ.
Each week our team will battle it out against each other to create different designs based on a chosen theme. To determine who has created the best design we need you to get involved by voting for your favourite design!! This can be done by checking out the Sparkly-Nails website, Facebook or Twitter page!
It is important for us to know what you would like to see being designed, so get in touch with your ideas!
Maybe you have an important date in your diary and you need inspiration for creating the perfect look for the occasion?!
Week 1 saw Sparkly HQ “going for gold” with designs that used water decals, nail stickers and gold tile nail foil.
Week 2 was all about “Festival Fun”, using the dotting tool, daisy coloured stickers and caviar beads.
This week we’re going “Monochrome”!  Check out how we have used jewelled stickers and the striping tools.
Upcoming themes will include our take on those important dates for your diary, including Halloween, Christmas, and the current nail art trends.
Keep checking our pages to ensure you don’t lose touch with the trends and make all your friends envious of your stylish nails!
To re-create any of the designs, take a look at Sparkly-Nails where you can purchase all the products needed.

Ready, Steady, Paint!!

With the Olympics almost upon us, it is the perfect excuse to jazz up those nails and get into the competitive spirit!!

What better way to show your support for the events then adding a bit of glamour to your nails?
Besides, we would not want those toned guys thinking we weren’t routing for them!

Here Sparkly-nails have all the colours necessary to dress up those nails with the Olympian rings and re-create those patriotic flags.
Why not paint each nail a separate flag of GB – England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the Union Jack!!

All you need is some colourful and even glittery nail strippers applied to the chosen base coat and you’ll soon be going for gold in nail art: Sparkly Nails - Nail Art Stripers

Or why not have a go with glitter and gems to really add that sparkle to your nails!!

If the above looks a bit tricky or you have an Olympian celebration to make with little time to glam up those nails, then why not paint each nail a colour of the Olympic rings?

Or use nail paints to dot on the five colours of the rings on a striking white base coat. Keep it simplistic, yet dramatic! The bold colours will be enough to leave a lasting-impression and make all your friends envious! (Blue, Yellow, Black, Green and Red): Sparkly Nails - Nail Paints

Like us on Facebook and show Sparkly Nails how you’re showing your support for the Olympics and remember to follow us on Twitter to chat!

Introducing Kristy: Marketing and PR intern

Kirsty Martin, 21

Hi everyone!

I’m Kirsty and I am really excited to get the chance to do work experience here at Sparkly Nails for the summer.

I have just finished my last year of my Journalism degree at Southampton Solent University and have moved back home to Devon.

I had been thrown into the big wide world of employment, and to be honest it was very daunting for me.

I wanted to work at Sparkly Nails as I sought after experience in Marketing and PR, being in the beauty industry was an added bonus!

I can confirm that Sparkly Nails HQ is unquestionably Sparkly and pink! Undoubtedly I will have to test the products to see what they are like – for your benefit of course!

I am a self confessed girly girl; I love everything pink, doing my nails and makeup. I love the beauty industry and I think that if I hadn’t gone down the Journalism root then I would have definitely gone onto beauty.

When it comes to nails – I think the brighter the better. Multiply colours, gems and foils – make a statement! I will help produce lots more video tutorials for the website and keep you up to date with new products and trends.

I am very excited about my time here and am looking forward to new experiences and opportunities.

Speak soon.
